As a sophomore design major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Sicily Keyes spends most of her time buried in projects. Between long nights in the library, last-minute critiques and managing a heavy course load, she barely has time to think about joining a club — let alone search for one.

“I want to get involved,” Sicily said. “But honestly, I just don’t have the time to sit down and figure out what’s even out there.”

Sicily had always imagined that college would be the place where she’d find her people—maybe a design club, a marketing group or even a creative collective to swap ideas and build a portfolio. But between juggling deadlines and racing from class to class, joining a club became one more thing on an endless to-do list. Weeks turned into semesters, and the idea of joining something started to feel further and further away.

“It’s not that I’m not interested,” Sicily said. “But finding a club feels like a whole extra project.”

That’s exactly the problem that an app like ClubCrush hopes to solve.

Instead of forcing students like Sicily to dig through endless websites, flyers and outdated lists, ClubCrush would match students to clubs based on their interests, time commitments and schedules. With a few minutes between classes, or even on a late-night study break, Sicily could browse personalized options, see when meetings happen and know right away which groups actually fit her lifestyle.

ClubCrush would also let clubs show how competitive they are, post honest reviews from other students, and make it easy to sign up or attend events without missing deadlines.

“For me, it would be a game-changer,” Sicily said. “If I could just see everything in one place — and know what fits [my schedule] — I think I’d have the chance to actually get involved.”

Right now, Sicily’s story is still waiting to be written. But for students like her, the future could be a lot easier — with the right tools at their fingertips.
